Governance

Welcome to the Governors' section!

Stanley Park Infants' School has a 'Local Governing Board', which is effectively a committee of the Trust (Cirrus Primary Academy Trust). The accountability of the academy rests with the Trust, and many responsibilities are delegated to the Local Governing Board.

To find out about the structure of the Trust, please see this page on the Trust's website.

We publish here the most recently approved minutes of the Local Governing Board. Minutes of a meeting are approved at the following term's meeting, and then published here. Occasionally there may be a confidential item that will be marked as such and excluded from the public minutes.

Our Local Governing Board (LGB) consists  of 9 people from the local and school community – 2 elected parent governors, 4 co-opted governors and 3 staff governors. We perform a skills audit to ensure there is a breadth of skills and knowledge on the governing board.

We work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, offering support and constructive advice. We challenge, ask questions and seek information to ensure that the best educational outcomes are achieved for all the children at Stanley Park Infants’ School.

The LGB meets once a term, to discuss issues and make decisions related to the teaching and learning within our school.  Additionally, our LGB representatives from the Admissions, Finance and Human Resources Trust Committees feedback and discuss issues from these committees.

The LGB also performance manages the Head of School and has a Pay Committee which works with the Head of School as part of the Performance Management Appraisal process.

If you wish to contact the Local Governing Board please email to governors@stanleyparkinfants.co.uk
